THURLOW WEED

A fascinating character from New York and the subject of a paper I had to write in a college history class that i just found in an old book.  The paper was mediocre and I can't remember even writing it or researching it but I have remembered the man.  He was the guy that was behind the scenes in getting several important friends nominated for president.  Among these friends were Henry Clay, Zach Taylor and Abe Lincoln.  There are more importan friends but I would have to read my paper for that information and I really don't need that this early in the morning...
