My friend, Jonathan, sent me a TED presentation from a few years ago and I thought I would share a quote I had heard a while back but had forgotten...from Jonas Salk..
"If all the insects were to disappear from earth, within 50 years all life on earth would end...If all the human beings disappeared from earth, within 50 years, all forms of life would flourish.."
